TheBox.nz is a brand of The Wooden Toy Box Limited. The Wooden Toy Box Limited is a wholly owned New Zealand company. We are an innovative and creative product distribution company, with offices in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Our focus is on providing quality new and unique products at reasonable prices.


Your personal information is secure with us. The Wooden Toy Box Limited will never share or sell your personal information with any 3rd party.  We understand that your privacy and the security of your personal information is important. By placing an order with The Wooden Toy Box Limited you authorise us to send you newsletters and email promotions from us. If you do not wish to receive email correspondence from us you can click ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of any TheBox or The Wooden Toy email.


We accept that sometimes you might find a product that looks good but is not suitable for the purpose intended, or that someone has purchased the same item for you already. We will therefore accept product returns, for 30 days from date of purchase. The item must have its packaging and be in saleable condition. You can either send this yourself or use our Product Collection Service, which would be chargeable.  We can then send you a replacement product or refund you. This will be less any freight costs.

If an item arrived faulty or damaged (either in transit or out of the box.) we will move quickly to replace it and collect the faulty or damaged one at our cost.

For Returns, Refunds or Faulty Items – please email us at sales@thebox.nz. Proof of purchase from us is required.


If your delivery gets damaged on its way to you, we will replace it for you.

If your purchase is not quite working as it should, we will get it fixed or replace it for you.

If you have a product to return you can either phone or email us. The more information we have the faster we can manage it. Please have your order number ready.


We cannot offer a replacement or refund in obvious cases of misuse, alteration or mishandling of the product. In addition the above applies only if you purchased the product new directly from The Wooden Toy Box Limited.


We will process all orders on the basis they were completed with payment. If you wish to cancel an order, please go to the Your Account page or send us an email. Once an order is dispatched from our warehouse it is considered delivered and cancellations after this point will still carry the courier fee.


All pricing in this website is in New Zealand Dollars. The Wooden Toy Box Limited reserves the right to change current product pricing without notice.  All product prices are inclusive of GST.


Your order is important to us and making sure it arrives where and when it is supposed to is a commitment we take seriously. No one likes to wait too long after placing their order, especially for their birthday or Christmas presents! Here is all you need to know about our shipping times, costs and tracking your order.

When you place your order with us you are aware that there is a long lead time – which is why you got such a great price – the proposed delivery date will be shown when you order and in your order confirmation email.

Once the stock arrives your order will be set for delivery 3 – 5 working days from that arrival date. For rural delivery add a further two days.

You will receive an email notification of when this is shipped to you.

Our freight rates below are the lowest around and are nationwide.

If the deal you are offered was not a freight free offer, then our standard freight rates are as follows:

  1. $4.90 for orders between $0 and $45.
  2. FREE for orders over $45
  3. For Rural Delivery add $2.50 to the above costs.
